Artist's Statement

‍“Hacienda Riviera” Hacienda Riviera is one of the many spas in Desert Hot Springs California. Although now closed, it stands as a reminder to our rapidly changing landscape. Through my work, I seek to awaken a fresh appreciation for these markers of our shared past. I strive to transcend the familiar by utilizing a contemporary lens to reinterpret these motifs. The interplay of color, composition, light, and painting technique serves to breathe new life into these iconic representations that populate our communities.
